Now loading life updates…
Since September, life has been in constant motion—traveling, falling in love, getting married, spending the holidays with family, and learning more about myself than ever before. Being without a home base, stepping away from expectations (both my own and those of others), and detaching from the labels I’ve long identified with has been both liberating and terrifying. It’s the biggest leap I’ve taken, and honestly, one of the hardest.
In the midst of all this movement, I’ve missed the rhythm of my art practice. I’ve missed my space, my community, and the feeling of cultivating something deeply personal. The transitions my husband and I have embraced—starting a new chapter together—have put some of my creative pursuits on pause. Instead, I’ve been forced to sit, observe, and listen. And truthfully, I haven’t always been good at it. Stillness is unfamiliar territory, and I catch myself restless in it, eager for what’s next.
But through this stillness, I’m also discovering more about who I am and what I truly want, outside of the noise.
Right now, Nic and I are in Washington, DC. We paint when we can, and I’ve started a new bar job while I search for opportunities that align more with my goals. As I continue navigating this in-between space, I hope to invest more time in this blog, sharing the journey as it unfolds.
